LCD TV Stands Hold Television In Position For Viewing

There are some manufacturers that provide LCD TV supports with their upright or flat screen televisions. That LCD TV stands that come with a new LCD television are designed for use with that specific model and may not be secure enough for different television sets. These newer, and very thin LCD televisions mount nicely on the wall, although some opt for eye level viewing and place them on a stand.

The new wide screen LCD TVs will not be able to fit into an older entertainment cabinet that was made for the smaller sets. However, most smaller units will fit, with more space above the television than most people are used to seeing. Using LCD TV stands the television can be placed on top of a flat stand or even a bedroom dresser depending on its size.

Once consumers have decided on the size of their TVs then they can purchase the right size LCD TV stands. It is important that if the TV is 50 inches or more that it be placed on a stand that is big enough to handle it.

Be Sure to get a Very Stable Stand

LCD TV stands are manufactured in proportion with the TV it will be mounted to and therefore should be able to keep it upright. Examine the TV and stand to make sure it is very stable after you have installed it. Especially if a large screen unit is going to be placed on a carpeted floor, the flexibility of the carpet may cause the unit to tip sue to being top heavy.

The LCD televisions should be moved very carefully as to not break the very thin glass that holds the liquid crystal technology. If the LCD gets bumped causing it to tumble of the stand it could become permanently damaged. The LCD TV stands should hold the unit securely allowing no opportunity to tip.

Some consumers will not need LCD TV stands if they decide to have their TV mounted on the wall. In the event replacement stands have to be purchased they are best purchased from the manufacturer or authorized representative to insure the replacements hold the television as securely as they are intended.
