We’ve all got our own personal super spy- a name who risks it all for their country, consequences be damned. These are the super spies with a license to kill, and to entertain.
Bond- James Bond. It just wouldnt be a list of top spies without him would it? Always well dressed, with the best gadgets and a gorgeous girl on his arm whilst saving the day, Bond showed us how to save the world with style. Everyone will argue for hours over who was the best Bond, but never whether 007 deserves his legendary status. Bond is the person we think of when we hear the term ’spy’, and nobody does it better.
Harry Palmer- Micheal Caine played the Anti Bond. Taking a completely different route to the Bond films, Palmers world was much gritter, and the man himself was a mirror image of 007. While he might not have the charm of 007, he had the drive to get the mission done, and the means to do so.
Austin Powers- the 60s hippest spy, who was frozen only to be defrosted in the late 1990s to fight Dr Evil and his schemes. Powers is a send up of all the great spy movies, with Palmers glasses and Bonds gadgets, but with a charm all of his own. Wed always get a good laugh as he saved the day in the most outrageous ways. The movies has carved out a following of their own for the shagadelic super spy as well as paying tribute to the other great spy movies.
Jason Bourne. It took alot of money and training to make him the best at what he can do, but the Bourne films begin with him close to death and with amensia. While Bond struggled to adapt to the nineties, Bourne slots in perfectly, blending in with the crowd rather than standing out, but not afraid to hijack a car when need called for it. Hunted by his own agency over the course of three films, Bourne’s training always kept him one step ahead.
After spy gadgets, such as voice recorders and surveillance equipment? Go to these people
