When you're taking home that brand spanking LCD television you've been so excited about for months on end, it's probably worth your while to make sure that when you get home there is somewhere to put it. The worst thing that could happen is that you get home and have to prop the television up against the corner of your room, or worse still, try to cobble together a stand on which to rest it.
Start thinking about where you're going to put that big stupid television before you get it home, in fact start thinking about it before you even think about buying it, otherwise you're wasting your time and money. Second to rubbing your tired noggin about where it’s actually going to go, you need to think about how it’s going to go there, as in, what are you going to hang it up with because a piece of string just won’t do.
Ok, so you probably decided to look through the various LCD TV brackets available to solve the ‘how to hang it’ problem. I hope you managed to choose one that fits your television, and not one that was designed for a television weighing in at 40 kilos. Congratulations on not being a total fool, you got to the final stages of the buy the LCD television game.
The final part is to hang it from the wall, which can go horribly horribly wrong if you don't plan it properly. Where are you going to screw into the wall, are there wires behind where you are planning to drill and will your plasterboard wall hold the weight of your television. Once you've established all of that, go ahead, stick your television on the wall. You thought where thousands didn't, and for that I commend you. Congratulations.
